The 53,000 SF multipurpose indoor practice facility was constructed using a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) system, with a durable enclosure composed of masonry and translucent wall panels that provide natural lighting throughout the interior. The structure houses two primary spaces: a 45,000 SF synthetic turf field designed for flexible use across football, soccer, baseball and softball, and a 5,000 SF weight room built to support athletic training and conditioning. Designed for year-round use, the facility supports a wide range of athletic programs, team practices, and offseason training.

Sutter Health’s Mills‑Peninsula Medical Center Cath Lab 2 project included a complete gut and full renovation to support high‑acuity cardiac and vascular diagnosis and intervention cases. At the center of the updated suite is the Philips Azurion 7 C20 FlexArm with ambient lighting, a ceiling‑mounted diagnostic system designed for flexible positioning, advanced imaging and image‑guided navigation to support complex cases. The new room configuration emphasizes clinician visibility and efficient workflow through a multi‑monitor setup and a rotatable large‑format display.

The project scope included a complex seismic retrofit, overhead MEP coordination and upgrades spanning the cath lab procedure room and its connected control room. Surgical lighting, radiation shielding and seamless integration with existing hospital infrastructure were also incorporated to meet the demands of a critical care environment. The result is a high‑performance clinical space that strengthens the hospital’s ability to deliver interventional care with consistency, confidence and long‑term durability.

The project stems from a comprehensive systemwide master planning effort, during which PIH Health and ²»¿¨¸£ÀûƬ evaluated inpatient and outpatient service lines against 30‑year market projections. This analysis helped identify shifting specialty demand, optimize service distribution across the region and determine which clinical services should be expanded or introduced on the Whittier campus. The resulting medical office building supports PIH Health’s long‑term strategy and strengthens its broader regional network.

The Outagamie County Canopy Project represents an investment in the county’s Material Recovery Facility (MRF). To deliver the 7,500 SF steel-framed canopy addition, ²»¿¨¸£ÀûƬ was engaged in a turnkey approach – providing architectural, engineering and construction services.

The canopy enhances the facility’s ability to manage recycling processes while protecting vital equipment and staff from the harsh Wisconsin weather, balancing functionality with form. As a result, recycling operations remain efficient and reliable year-round, supporting and reinforcing the county’s leadership in environmental stewardship.

When the healthcare system’s Neenah pediatrics clinic needed additional space, they turned to ²»¿¨¸£ÀûƬ’s design and engineering team to deliver a model that offered the right balance of functionality and modern aesthetics.

For this project, the design team transformed underused space that was shelled but not fully built out when ²»¿¨¸£ÀûƬ originally constructed the clinic in the early 2000s.

Comprising approximately 7,000 SF, the remodeled portion of the clinic adds a sizable nurses station, X-ray room, 19 exam rooms, five providers’ rooms, two immunization preparation rooms, with one functioning as a laboratory; a dirty supply/biohazard room and a restroom.

The Hoffman Estates Outpatient Clinic is a single-story medical office building with 44 exam rooms for primary care, pediatrics, orthopedics, OB/GYN and cardiology. With three procedure rooms, ultrasound, mammography, X-ray, and physical therapy, the facility also includes room for future expansion on both the east and west sides of the building. The 6.5-acre site was developed to include surface parking (including space for additional parking to accommodate future expansion) and an on-site stormwater detention volume control basin.

Originally envisioned as a two-story facility, the project team reimagined the design to meet strict budgetary targets. Through a strategic redesign process, the concept shifted to a single-story structure with a simplified footprint.

Numerous design innovations helped to maximize value. These included streamlining the lobby to prioritize usable clinical space, eliminating architectural embellishments such as wing walls and designing a sloped roof that eliminated the need for an interior roof drainage system. Each design choice was rooted in performance, simplicity and efficiency.

In a thoughtful redesign aimed at enhancing accessibility and welcoming the community, this project reimagined the YMCA’s entry experience. Previously, visitors entered through the childcare area as the facility lacked a clear front entry point. Now, with a striking new entrance positioned at the corner, guests seamlessly access the facility from both the street and the nearby parking ramp.  

More than just an aesthetic improvement, this transformation reshapes the flow and function of the space. The boardroom and offices have been strategically relocated to optimize the interior layout, while new multi-purpose areas enrich the facility’s offerings. At the heart of the design is the expansive front desk and lobby—a bright, open environment with soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that flood the space with natural light, creating an atmosphere of warmth and transparency. 

Beyond the entrance, key renovations extend to the lower level’s common areas, ensuring a cohesive and modernized experience throughout. As a fully integrated design-build project, ²»¿¨¸£ÀûƬ played a pivotal role, seamlessly executing both the design and construction.

The Bed Tower Expansion project for Mayo Clinic Health System was completed in 2024. The three-floor expansion includes ICU, PCU, maternity and medical surgical spaces. Approximately 90 new patient rooms have been added to the current hospital building on the campus. Connections to the existing central hospital were made, along with required mechanical, electrical and plumbing infrastructure with a 900-ton chiller and two cooling towers. The team worked closely with hospital staff to ensure safe project delivery while normal hospital operations continue.
